A total of 62 players, divided into eight bracketed flights, teed it up. Since this challenge spans several weeks, results will be reported at a later date. The club also participated in the Mixed Net Shoot Out with the Ladies Golf Association on January 13. Ten couples started the tournament. One couple was eliminated on each hole, with two couples left battling it out on the last hole for the championship. The first, second and third place finishers were Ron Morgan and Sue Koslofsky, George Jones and Melissa Craig and Fred Nixon and Jackie Huyghebaert.

The major event for February was the Club Championship, a gross score only tournament started on the 14th and completed on the 21st. Also in February, there was the Men’s Net Shoot Out on the 17th and the first half of the home and home with Sun Lakes on the 28th. February results cannot be reported due to the early deadline for submitting articles to the paper.

Looking ahead, March will have the Men’s Gross Shoot Out and the start of the three-day MacPherson Challenge Match Play tournament, named in honor of Cal MacPherson. Cal was a longtime member, former Golf Club board member and golf course volunteer. His contributions to the golf course were many.
