Why I’m Running for Mayor of Chandler
Councilmember Matt Orlando
Over the past three decades, I’ve had the privilege of serving the people of Chandler on our City Council. Together, we’ve helped transform Chandler into one of America’s safest, most financially stable, and most desirable cities. Today, I’m asking for your support to continue that work as your next Mayor.
Chandler has never been stronger, but we cannot take our success for granted. Our city faces new challenges that we’ve already been through together. Those include protecting our water future and managing responsible growth to ensuring our police officers and firefighters have the resources they need to keep us safe. Throughout my career, I’ve believed local government should focus on solving problems, not scoring political points. Potholes aren’t Republican or Democrat. Public safety isn’t partisan. Neither is protecting our neighborhoods or preserving the quality of life that makes Chandler such a special place to call home. As an Air Force veteran and longtime public servant, I’ve always believed leadership means listening first, bringing people together, and making thoughtful decisions that put residents ahead of politics or special interests. That’s why I’ve fought for stronger limitations on data centers, sued on behalf of your community to protect your water, supported investments in parks and public safety, and helped keep Chandler among the best-managed cities in America. This election isn’t about left versus right. It’s about keeping Chandler moving forward with experienced, steady leadership focused on our community’s future.
I’m the only candidate in this race to have the endorsements of your local police officers, firefighters, and teachers and I’d be honored to earn your vote for Mayor. Together, we can ensure Chandler remains the city we’ve been proud to build.
