Mark your calendar! Join us for this special event at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, in the Oakwood Country Club Kingston Ballroom located at 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd., in Sun Lakes. The program includes a continental breakfast (coffee, tea, pastries, fruit) with gluten-free available upon request, as well as live music, a guest speaker, and a special feature.
The cost is $20, including tax and gratuity, payable at the door by cash or check.
Our Inspirational guest speaker will be Donna Krueger who hails from Casa Grande. She was a single woman in her 60s when she traveled in her RV in search of a new home before deciding on Arizona. Donna is a former farm wife from Idaho and was a mail carrier. She is also an author, speaker, and grief counselor, and she loves to travel. A true adventurer at heart, Donna will share her experiences traveling cross-country in her motorhome and the lessons she learned from the twists and turns during her talk, “On the Road of Life – a Journey of Choices.”
As a special feature, Karen Davis is the travel sales manager for Free Spirit Vacations. She has been working in the travel industry for over 30 years and has traveled extensively through Arizona, the U.S., and abroad. Karen enjoys sharing her love of travel and helping guests find the perfect tours that fit their interests. Free Spirit Vacations offers travel adventures from around the corner to around the world, specializing in travel for the 55+ age group. Tours range from one-day getaways from the Phoenix area to regional, national, and international destinations. You are sure to find a trip that suits your interests!
Terri Kerr, a longtime member and soloist with the East Valley Chorale, will be the featured soloist.
The Keyboard Connection, a group of nine gals from Sun Lakes, will be providing a half hour of pre-brunch music, playing at nine different keyboards. You will hear tunes of Broadway, popular standards, and other genres of music. Jeanette Cline is the director of the group.
