Keep February 28 open for the 2017 Iowa Party on the patio just outside the Ballroom in SunBird. Those going back to Iowa – remember to bring back some Iowa articles for the raffle. We have enjoyed Iowa wine, strawberry jam and salsa made with home grown tomatoes and peppers.
It will be another fun party, just as fun as the March 2016 party and dance.
Washington State
For the first time since 2012, nearly 250 Washingtonians got together on March 13 at Palo Verde for a relaxed, casual, late afternoon of fun, fellowship, food and some pretty good prizes, including cash. Nearly 60 percent of the partygoers were new to the area or had never been to a Washington party. At the end of the party, the question, “Should we do it again next year?” was met with cheers, so Palo Verde has already been reserved for March 12, 2017.
If you’re not already on our mailing list, send the committee an email at [email protected], include your name(s), Sun Lakes address, email address (for party notification only), phone number and the Washington city you’d like on your name tag. When the time comes, you’ll get a registration form, hopefully by email. If you don’t have an email address call Kit Carlton at 480-639-3164 and give her the information so we can mail you a form, which won’t be until next January.
