SunBird Lions Bingo is back for another exciting season. As usual, our season runs through April on the first and third Friday of the month. Ticket sales begin at 5:30 p.m., and the first game begins at 6:30 p.m. There are 15 games nightly. We hope you will join us!

SunBird Annual Meeting

The purpose of this meeting is to report to the membership the operations of 2023. All SunBird members are welcome to attend!
The Ken Bergmann Memorial Car Show
Wednesday, March 6, Waterview Parking Lot, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Come early and park your car, then grab a coffee or enjoy breakfast before the show at our Horizon Room restaurant. There will be Lions Club 50/50 raffle, Favorite of the Show award, and lunch (hot dogs/hamburgers with potato chips and a drink will be available for purchase on the patio). TAD Management Presents Ridin’ The Storm Out – Tribute to REO Speedwagon

Back in the late ‘90s the guitarist and founding member of Ridin’ the Storm Out, Rick Hunter, had the honor of playing and performing with REO’s founding member Gary Richrath for almost three years. Their chemistry was evident from their first chords played together. Moving forward to 2017, he decided to form an REO Speedwagon Tribute in search of players who loved REO’s music. After being in many successful tribute bands since 2002, he embarked on celebrating Gary Richrath’s contribution to music history by forming this band’s library of hit songs in a tribute for the fans, knowing the signature vocal harmonies and musical style were key ingredients to reproduce REO’s sound, the quest was a challenge, but achieved after joining forces with two unbelievably young, multi-talented musicians and two other seasoned players who brought all the pieces together to form Ridin’ the Storm Out – Tribute to REO Speedwagon. The name comes from the band’s first hit in the mid ‘70s—REO’s signature song that ends their shows. Ridin’ the Storm Out song list has a solid two-hour show they can perform with all the true REO live show hits the real band still plays at their shows. Tickets are $20 per person, available at the HOA office. Full cash bar, pre-packaged snacks only.
Spring Fling Dance, Sponsored by the SunBird Bandits

Please join the SunBird Bandits at their annual Spring Fling Dance featuring music by Flashback Cadillac (formerly Back Street Romance). Flashback Cadillac will be playing all your favorite hits from the ‘60s through the ‘80s, as well as country! The Spring Fling Dance is open to all SunBird residents and guests. You must bring your SunBird ID and/or guest passes. Tickets are $10 per person available through the Bandits. Full cash bar, pre-packaged snacks only.
SunBird Home Tour, Sponsored by SunBird Garden Club

The SunBird Garden Club proudly presents their annual Home Tour. SunBird homeowners kindly open their homes for fellow residents to obtain ideas for their own homes. Tickets are $15 in advance/$20 on the day of the event per person and are currently being sold by Garden Club members. Maps of the participating homes will be given at the time of ticket purchase.
SunBird Irish Club 2024 St. Patrick’s Day Dinner and Dance
Sunday, March 10, Ballroom, 4 to 8 p.m.
The Irish Club Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner and Dance, along with their amazing basket raffle, will be held in the SunBird ballroom on Sunday, March 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. Happy hour will be from 4 to 5 p.m., corned beef and cabbage or shepherd’s pie dinner will begin at 5 p.m. Music will be provided by SunBird’s own The Rusty Parts. Tickets are only $25 per person and will be available in the clubhouse lobby Feb. 24 through March 8, Monday through Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., or call Val at 602-326-2073. A night with Fame Trivia is an exciting evening full of fun questions, music, and audience participation, creating a competitive, fun-filled environment making you want to come back and play again! St. Patrick’s Day Party with DJ Jamal

SunBird Irish Club St. Patrick’s Day Golf Cart Parade
Sunday, March 17, Waterview, 2 p.m.
Decorate your golf cart for a fun parade through the SunBird community. Judges will choose the best decorated carts for prizes. All SunBird residents are welcome! The parade will start on Waterview (by the large pool) at 2 p.m. and go through the community. Residents can cheer on and enjoy the parade from their homes while the carts drive the parade route.

Art & Sip

Join us in the Horizon Room as local artist Kaui Wilson helps to create a masterful painting on canvas while sipping, laughing, and socializing. She will provide step-by-step instruction to those who need very specific direction and take you through your masterpiece from start to finish in a series of small and simple (but very detailed) steps. This will be a fun and entertaining art class. No experience is necessary! All art supplies and instruction will be provided, and we’ll include one glass of wine! (Food and additional beverages are not included.) Tickets are only $38 per person and are available at the HOA office. Please register at the HOA office by Wednesday, March 20.
Friday Fun Bingo

Join us for this awesome activity! This is not your everyday Bingo! Bring your friends, come socialize, enjoy great music, and have fun! We’ll be playing five games, only $1 per game! You can play all five games or just one, play one card or as many as you’d like, the choice is yours! Friday Fun Bingo is for SunBird members and authorized guests only. Please be sure to bring your SunBird ID for entry. If you do not have an ID, please stop by the HOA office to get one. Due to the popularity of this fun event and in order to accommodate SunBird members, the number of guests SunBird members may bring is limited to two guests per household. SunBird members, along with their guests, must all be together when entering the ballroom. Additionally, the SunBird Maintenance Team has set up the ballroom for this event. Please do not take it upon yourself to set up any additional tables and chairs. Have fun, and good luck!

This free community event will feature groovy live music by Uncorked The Band, beer gardens, local food trucks, 50/50 drawing, flower power, and lots of fun! You don’t want to miss this event! Blonde Ambition takes you on a journey through Madonna’s illustrious career from the early ‘80s into the ‘90s and beyond, perfectly capturing the look, sound, and distinctive style of the Queen of Pop in a fun, energetic, and highly entertaining show. They cover all your favorite Madonna dance hits, including “Like A Virgin,” “Holiday,” “Into the Groove,” “Papa Don’t Preach,” and “Vogue,” just to name a few. Blonde Ambition is wowing audiences everywhere they go, from clubs, casinos, the theaters, and larger venues. Tickets are $20 per person and are on sale beginning Wednesday, March 6, in the Apache Room from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. After March 6, tickets will be available at the HOA office.
