Janet Hartkopf Named RCSL Rotarian of the Month

The Rotary Club of Sun Lakes (RCSL) named Janet Hartkopf the RCSL September 2024 Rotarian of the Month. For the past several years, Janet has been the editor and maintenance go-to person for RCSL’s website, www.sunlakesrotary.com, and roster. She holds a Master of Education, Curriculum, and Instruction Technology from Grand Canyon University. As Cyber Program Director at Basha High School, Janet has developed cyber security courses.

Rotary Club Gifts More Than 83,000 Dictionaries

Rotary Club of Sun Lakes (RCSL) members and spouses met to insert labels and stickers into the dictionaries that will be given to East Valley third graders. Per project leader Roger Edmonds, RCSL has been doing this project for 21 years. Eighty-three thousand students have received dictionaries. This year, there are 30 elementary schools that will receive the books and two schools on the Gila River Reservation. Members bring the books to the schools and share its benefits.
