Pickleball Club Continues Winter Season

The club and many volunteers are gearing up for our annual Charity Tournament on Feb. 26 and 27. All proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Association to help us find the first survivor of this heartbreaking disease. There will be a pro exhibition on Saturday, Feb. 26. Raffle tickets will be on sale in the clubhouse on Friday, Feb. 25, from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 8 to 11 a.m. The raffle prizes so far include a TV, a beautiful owl quilt, multiple gift baskets, pottery, pickleball gear, lessons, and much more! For more information or to register, volunteer, or donate, please contact Marianna at 480-285-4501.

Currently, the 2021-22 winter hours are essentially the same as last season, with the exception that we decided to make the afternoon start times consistently at 2 p.m. We will play Sundays from 2 to 6 p.m., Tuesdays from 2 to 6 p.m., Wednesday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m., Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursdays from 2 to 6 p.m., Friday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday nights from 6 to 9p.m., and select Saturday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m. throughout the season. See the website, the kiosk, or the glass case across from the post office for these Saturdays.

Our Pickleball Club dues continue to be $20 per person and are due every year when you first return to play for the winter season after Oct. 1. We ask everyone to sign the waiver and read the updated guidelines. If you’re not sure of the process, please just ask any club member how to submit the forms and payment.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to submit them to [email protected]. Game ON!
