Join the SunBird Lions, the German Club, and the HOA on Oct. 24 for Oktoberfest ’26, an evening of German food, music, drawings, games, and community fun.
Event tickets will be available from the German Club in the Clubhouse Lobby from Oct. 12 through Oct. 23. Tickets are $20 and include an authentic German meal featuring:
* Bratwurst or a hot dog with sauerkraut
* German potato salad
* A pretzel and cheese to enjoy with your beverage
* A cookie for dessert
During ticket sales, you may also purchase raffle tickets for several gift baskets. Tickets are available at 6 for $5, 15 for $10, or 35 for $20. Winners do not need to be present to win, and all proceeds will go directly to the SunBird Lions Charity Account. The German Club will also offer tickets for a 50/50 drawing, and the Lions will offer tickets for a cash drawing. You must be present to win the cash prizes.
The event begins at 4 p.m. with music by the Varitones. This well-known group will perform from the start of the celebration through the end of the event.
This year’s added attraction features three games where you can try your luck. One game ticket is included with your event ticket.
* Water Balloon Toss: Take your chance at cooling off General Manager Layne Varney and a mystery guest. Each ticket gives you three balloons.
* Pretzel Toss: Test your aim for a chance to win a prize.
* Axe Toss: Try your luck with a safe, non-real axe for a chance to win a prize.
Successful players from the Axe Toss and the Pretzel Toss may win prizes such as German beer, German wine, or Cheese Whiz and crackers. There will be one winning ticket per game, and winners must be present to win. Additional game tickets will be available for purchase for only $1.
