SunBird Kare Bears had a busy year sponsoring a number of activities, generating funds that were donated back to various charities in the community and our own HOA.
The following donations were made, for a total of $10,400:

• Hospice of the Valley
• St. Vincent DePaul (c/o St. Mary’s Conference)
• SunBird HOA Projects (tables and chairs for the ballroom)
• St. Peter’s Mission School
• House of Refuge
• SunBird Golf Club (fix fountains on holes 7 and 18)
• American Service Animal Society
• Horizon Room (rolling carts)
• Arizona Rangers
The Kare Bears ended their year with an appreciation luncheon on March 27 in the ballroom where the Horizon Room catered a delicious and colorful spinach salad with chicken, feta cheese, blueberries, strawberries, and sugared walnuts. Barb Dunbar brought a cake to finish off the festivities. Even though we don’t have our regular monthly meetings during the summer months, members will continue to meet in the Horizon Room the second Tuesday of each month to share a meal and socialize. Thank you to all the members who have continued to give of their time and money to help others in our community.
