Rodney LeRoy Heglie
Rodney LeRoy Heglie, age 79, resident of Baxter, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Rodney was born on February 25, 1939, in Fargo, ND, to Palmer and Josephine (Johnson) Heglie.
Rodney graduated from Christine High School in North Dakota, followed by his graduation from NDSU in 1963 with a degree in economics. He started his career in North Dakota, moving to the Brainerd Lakes area in 1970. He was united in marriage to Sandy (Scheffler) on August 12, 1961, in Barnesville, MN. Rodney was a member of the Elks for many years, and he loved outdoor activities, especially fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife Sandy; daughters Debbie Heglie and Brenda (Tom) Larson; three grandchildren: Sarah (Brock) Bixler, Brett Larson and Brandon Wetherbee; and one great-grandson expected in January, 2019.
Rodney is preceded in death by his parents.
