This is the last year Barbara Edwards will be organizing the Gals and Pals Tournament. She has been doing a wonderful job organizing this event for the past six years. She didn’t disappoint us this year. We all had a great time, and the lunch of French dip and potato salad was delicious, and what is lunch without dessert, which was a yummy layered vanilla cake with strawberry filling. Tickets were purchased for drawings for cash and also so many drawings for gifts that almost everyone in the room got a gift. The gifts are always great—the wine and liquor usually goes first. LOL. A good time was had by all. Thank you, Barbara, for all your hard work over the years.

I sometimes like to include something of interest from the professional golf arena for all golfers. I have been wondering how my favorite golfer, Phil Michelson, has been doing since he left the PGA for the LIV. There was an article in USA Today, written by Cameron Jourdan, that gives an in-depth accounting of the legal issues, which may be resolved somewhat on April 4, which is the first day of the Masters in Augusta, Georgia. To my surprise, Phil Michelson and 17 other members of the LIV will be competing with the PGA golfers. By the time this article is published, we will know how he did. He hasn’t won any tours since the 2021 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course in 2021. At that time, he was 51 years young. Especially looking forward to watching the Masters tournament this year!
