Join neighbors, friends, and visitors at Sun Lakes Women’s Connection for their first event of the season on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m. in the Oakwood clubhouse ballroom, 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd., Sun Lakes, Ariz. Enjoy a delightful program, live music, and a deluxe continental breakfast, including beverages, fruit, pastries, scrambled eggs, and tortillas and salsa (gluten-free available upon request). Admission is $25 (including tax and tip), payable by cash or check at the door.
Kathy Patrick, our guest speaker, was formerly from Scottsdale but now resides in Agoura Hills, Calif. When she lived in the Valley, Kathy was a board member of the Scottsdale Honors Cotillion and also a lobbyist for natural resources. Her background has taken her from race cars to oil drilling, lobbying to speaking nationally. She now repairs large exercise equipment at work and creates intricate quilts at home. Kathy will discuss quilts for life and tell us how to “Sew Beautiful.”
Renee Slagter, a local realtor with the Slagter Real Estate Group of Coldwell Banker, will share how to accomplish cost-effective home upgrades to get the maximum ROI (Return on Investment) and enjoyment of your home. In her slideshow, she will also share the current trends in renovations. Whether you are ready to renovate your whole house or just update a space, Renee will share budget-friendly ways to make a big impact.
Terry Kerr, a soloist with the East Valley Chorale, will be our featured soloist, and the pre-brunch piano music will be rendered by Roz Pederson of Sun Lakes.
The Crystal Card Project greeting cards will be available for purchase before and after this event.
