SunBird Lady 18ers year-end meeting and awards. Look at those smiles!

The SunBird Lady 18ers ended their season on April 5 with a round of golf and a luncheon on the patio, followed by a meeting conducted by our new executive and the presentation of the annual awards. While a number of our members had already returned to their summer homes, those who were in attendance had a fun time on a very hot day!
Our annual awards are based on the results of games played each Tuesday between April and March of the following year. The recipients of the SBLGA year-end awards for April 2021 to March 2022 were as follows:
Cindy Vig: Lowest Gross Score of 66 played on March 1, 2022
Lore Schaeffer: Lowest Net Score of 57 played on Feb. 8, 2022
Sandy Crane: Lowest Net Score of 57 played on March 8, 2022
Melissa Craig: Hole-in-one on hole number 11 on Nov. 9, 2021
Heather Verbitsky: Hole-in-one on hole number 5 on Dec. 7, 2021
Denine Smulan: Eagle on hole number 15 on Jan. 18, 2022
Melissa Craig: Eagle on hole number 10 on Feb. 8, 2022
Cindy Vig: 21 birdies (Flight 1)
Barb Koshuta: 11 birdies (Flight 2)
Teri Bitler: Most Improved Golfer (improved her handicap by 8)
Overall, the Ladies League played great golf this season, as evidenced by a total of 254 birdies being scored.
Joyce Gerber and Gail Morris did an outstanding job in decorating the patio in an Easter theme. Each of the awards was placed in an Easter egg, which each recipient got to select from a beautiful Easter basket. It was a lovely way to celebrate the end of another successful season.
