Unity Church of Sun Lakes is a New Thought Community. We celebrate Peace, Love, Light, Joy, and Healing. Our practice is affirmative prayer and positive thinking. We support each other in living a Spirit-Centered life. Our Sunday Service is at 10 a.m. in the Arts and Crafts Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club. Rev. Jeanne MacLaughlin delivers the message, which will be shown on YouTube later in the afternoon, as well as live.
Unity co-founder Charles Fillmore referred to prayer as the Silence; Stillness and Silence have always been at the core of Unity’s spiritual practice. Natural tranquil spots around Unity Village display affirmations taken from the Bible, such as “Peace, Be Still” and “Be Still and Know.” The beauty, order, and harmony of the natural world is an endless source of inspiration. Author Paul Brunton says in his book The Short Path to Enlightenment (2014), “The Presence is always there, waiting to be recognized and felt, and inner silence is needed to make this possible.” As spiritual beings in human form, we have been given the immense gift of recognizing the essential Truth of our being, our very oneness with the One.
