Unity Church of Sun Lakes is a New Thought spiritual church. Our prayers are affirmative, and we use affirmations and positive thinking to bring more of God’s good into our lives. We follow the teachings of Jesus as well as other Spiritual Masters. We know that God’s love and abundance is everywhere present and dwells in all of us. For the past year, because of the coronavirus, Rev. Jeanne MacLaughlin has provided for us on YouTube our entire Sunday services, music, the lesson, recorded it, and sent it on to YouTube. Thank you, Jeanne! Now it is time to return to our church services in person starting at 10 a.m. on June 27 and July 4 and 11 in the Cottonwood Phoenix Room, and then moving back to our old meeting place, Sun Lakes Country Club in the Arts & Crafts Room on July 18 and going forward. Our minister’s assistant, Julia Norton, has kept the Prayer Partners going on Zoom, and Lois Valleau has kept us in touch with our Reiki group on Zoom. We are truly grateful to these ladies for providing a way to meet and keep in touch with each other virtually. Two of our old members who live in other states now join our Zoom meetings, and we are doubly blessed by their presence.
A major shift in global awareness would occur if we all sent love and thoughts of gratitude into our home, work, church, community, state, and the world. Collectively, we have the power to shift consciousness and bring forth a transformed world through the expression of our love and gratitude. In our prayers, visualize all people over the face of the earth and bless them with love and peace and thank them for being our human family and one with God and us.
Activities: Reiki meets on Zoom at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. If you would like to join, call Lois Valleau at 480-883-6699 so she can put you on her list.
Prayer Partners meets on Zoom at 10 a.m. Wednesday. If you would like to join, email unitychurchofsl.org.
Unity Explores: This group is on hiatus until more favorable weather conditions later in the year. Our visit in May to the Schnepf Farm and the Olive Mill were great fun, and the weather was picture-perfect. So were the peaches!
