The Crystal Card Project draws donations from far and wide

Cards are donated by friends everywhere.

Cards are donated by friends everywhere.

What do Harriman, TN; Bend, OR; Corona, CA; and Millville, NJ, have in common? They are among the many places with supporters of The Crystal Card Project – people who collect greeting cards and ship them to Sun Lakes.

Donated cards are fashioned into new greeting cards and sold to raise money for My Sister’s Place, a Chandler shelter for victims of domestic violence.

You can buy these newly-created cards (for $1 each) on April 3 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Cottonwood Ladies Coffee in the San Tan Ballroom, on April 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Renaissance lobby and on May 1 and 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Oakwood Clubhouse Bradford Room.

You can donate used cards at any of the donation bins located in each Sun Lakes community or bring the cards to a work session or a sales event.

You can also help make cards at a work session. Next sessions are April 17 and 24 from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the Ceramics Room at Cottonwood.
