Gail Schroeder
We had a great Home and Home Tournament again this year. The weather cooperated, and the lunch was sumptuous with a taco salad and warmed chorizos filled with cream cheese over a caramel sauce. Bev Launer did an excellent job organizing everything with a little help from her Niner friends (Janelle Cernich, Ranee Seaman, Jo Mottet, and Jan Casey). Special thanks to Margaret Wiseman and Paula Neuser who are always there to analyze the scramble scores every week and for every Niners tournament. The golf scramble was fun, particularly because we all got a mulligan and a miracle putt, which helped our scores immensely! We are already looking forward to going to Sun Lakes next year!
The winners of the tournament and the closest-to-pin hole all received monetary prices. We also had many drawings for some very nice and generous raffle ticket gift baskets, which included golf balls donated by the SunBird Golf Shop. Many of the golfers commented on the nice golf purses everyone received on their lunch tables, which were put together by Barb Crowell and MJ Johnson. We all got a golf ball, tees, lip gloss, and peanut butter crackers to nourish us on the golf course. I think we were all pleasantly surprised and impressed with everything!
I have to apologize for the lack of pictures for all the winners, but your well-deserved recognition is as follows:
