Top o’ the morning, Irish Club members! ‘Tis the season … almost. God willing, we will be back to business as usual come October. Mark your calendars for the grand event!
Our first Irish Club meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 5, on the clubhouse patio at 4 p.m. Bring your coolers with your favorite beverages, and dinner will be provided at the end of the meeting.
The dues for this year will be $20 per member. Renew your membership at this meeting. This fee covers membership fees, plus meals at all meetings. We will have a full agenda, and we request your comments, suggestions, and ideas to make this season a success and great fun for us. We hope to continue making the Irish Club great for us all.
Note: The most important item on the agenda will be the election of a new president and also a new treasurer for the year. Our current officers are Vice President Ray Simone and Secretary Stevie Simone. It is imperative that we elect our new officers at the October meeting in order to keep our club running smoothly, and also for our treasury’s bank account.
Please consider running for these most important positions. With our large membership, there will be many members ready and willing to assist whoever is elected. With new leadership, we can add some new activities, continue with our usual favorites—Christmas Party, Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner, and the ever-popular trip to Laughlin! Let’s all pitch in and ensure that the Irish Club will continue to be a great, fun club.
We will be accepting new members at this October meeting, so anyone who is Irish, is married to an Irishman or wishes God would have blessed them with Irish heritage, has a friend and/or neighbor who is Irish, is able to dance the Irish jig, or just is interested in some new adventures and new friends, come on down on Oct. 5 and sign up.
Looking forward to our upcoming season. Hope to see all of you when the 2021-22 fun begins. Stay safe and stay well.
