If you missed the annual Bridge Gala on Sunday, February 21, you missed an awful lot of fun. Patrons to the gala generously purchased raffle tickets that went toward prizes between rounds of bridge; $200 was raised to pass back to 10 lucky winners of the raffle drawings. The play of the cards had nothing to do with winning the raffle ticket! As the bridge games were completed, the score cards were collected and the top 10 were set aside to receive the prize money, a sum between $8 and $56. The scores are as follows: Judy O’Neil 4420, Jeannine Swan 4480, Carol Phillips 4490, Karlene Garn 4670, Paul Klancher 4890, Kathy McFadyen 4930, Wayne Onyx 5070, Dick Ballou 5150, Mike Lamers 5460 and Betty Nobiling 5590.
Upon completion of the gala, Julie, the cooks and wait staff in the Horizon Room provided a delicious meal of salad, beef tips, cheesy potatoes, a medley of three vegetables, bread, either cherry or apple cobbler and a beverage. What a fun day with good eats to boot!
