Wie gehts unerem Verein Gruppe. Greetings to our club members. In February, we celebrated at our meeting Fasching/Karneval, Fastnacht. Of course, this was the celebration of the beginning of Lent, which started on Ash Wednesday (March 6). Our members brought a vast assortment of dishes to share as we partied. Our thanks to all of the folks who brought all sorts of hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Alles smeckt ganz gut (everything tasted great).
For the March meeting, we will be showing a video, highlighting several cities from southern Germany. These cities include Koblenz, Rudesheim, Mainz, Heidelberg, Wertheim, Wurzburg, Rothensburg and Bamberg. The video is hosted by George Bauer and is specifically created for today’s over-50 explorers. The video is 30 minutes in length and well narrated. Hope you will be able to join us on the fourth Tuesday, March 26, at 6:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Room.
Upcoming this April is our end of the year meeting on the Patio. Save the date of Tuesday, April 23. We will start this meeting at 5:00 p.m. The club will order fried and roasted chicken and cold potato salad for those intending to come. Members are asked to bring side dishes or desserts as a type of potluck.
In upcoming months, our articles will begin to explore the 16 states that make up Germany. In alpha order, they are: 1. Baden-Wuertemburg, 2. Bavaria, 3. Berlin, 4. Brandenburg, 5. Breman, 6. Hamburg, 7. Hessen, 8. Lower Saxony, 9. Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, 10. North Rhine-Westphalia, 11. Rhineland-Palatinate, 12. Saarland, 13. Schleswig-Holstein, 14. Saxony-Anhalt, 15. Saxony, 16. Thuringia.
Enjoy Easter and remember, Bunny is a Germany creation.
Auf wiedersehen
