Sun Lakes Community Chit and Chat Breakfast Group

Rose Pachura, Coordinator and Founder

We need sponsors! We are planning for the holiday gift to the community, “The Wonderland of Lights”  coming to Sun Lakes Medical Center located at 10440 East Riggs Road, Sun Lakes, in the entranceway.

We need your help to bring a glorious glow, along with joy and laughter, into Sun Lakes, especially this holiday season, after being in your home for a long time during the virus. This will bring you joy and raise spirits for this season. Businesses, organizations, groups, and individuals may participate by donating fully-decorated artificial trees from two feet to six feet high. Although donors may be creative with the lights and decorations they choose, we do request clear, battery-operated lights with timers.

Tree placement in the lobby will be on a first-come, first-served for space by appointment only. Therefore, it is important to make your appointment for a set-up time early during the week of Nov. 9 to 13, 2020, with Rose Pachura. All trees must be delivered to the Sun Lakes Medical Center on Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, by appointment only. It is the donor’s responsibility to set up their tree, decorate, and set up for display.

Beginning on Nov. 27, 2020, holiday trees brilliantly adorned with ornaments and lights will be displayed for tree lighting. Please join us! Everyone has to wear a mask when entering.

Auction for trees will be held on Dec. 15, 2020, conducted by Caring Transitions at CTBIDS.com, whose database of approximately 8,000 will give your business additional free advertising and exposure. Each tree sold at auction will be identified by the name of your business, organization, or group.

A donation will be made to The Perfect Place located at 23914 South Alma School Road, Chandler, Ariz. The Perfect Place is a 501(c)(3) non-profit adult daycare where many of the participants have some degree of dementia. Here they can socialize and engage in recreational activities in a structured, safe environment while giving the caretakers a much-needed break.

Let us make our community merry and bright this holiday season with “The Wonderland of Lights.”
