Dakotas and Nebraska Roundup 2024 Set for March 2
Mark your calendars now for the 20th Annual Dakotas and Nebraska Roundup on Saturday, March 2, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on the SunBird patio. SunBird residents who have lived in the Dakotas or Nebraska, along with their friends, are invited. Tickets cost $5 plus a dish for eight to share.
The potluck-on-the-patio fun will begin with a social hour at 4 p.m. (BYOB). Water, ice, and dinnerware will be provided. There will be music to enjoy! The potluck supper will begin around 4:30 p.m.
We know that there are lots of fabulous cooks from the Dakotas and Nebraska, so we are asking everyone to bring a dish to share. Last names A—J, please bring a salad; last names K—R, please bring a hot dish; and last names S—Z, please bring a dessert.
Tickets will be sold at the clubhouse on Feb. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Michigan and Illinois Party 2024

The 10th Annual Michigan/Illinois Party will take place on Saturday, March 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. on the clubhouse patio. There will be food, karaoke, and lots of fun. Details will be provided in the next SunBird newspaper. If you are interested in helping, phone, text, or email Fern or Deborah.

If you are from Minnesota or Wisconsin, please join us! Social hour starts at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, followed by a meal and music.
Tickets will be sold in the clubhouse (near the library) on the following days:
Monday, Feb. 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 8, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Nebraska State Dinner

The annual Sun Lakes Nebraska State Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 2, in the Cottonwood Country Club San Tan Ballroom. Friends from Sun Lakes, SunBird, and surrounding areas are all invited to the dinner. The no-host cash bar will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.
The cost of tickets is $40 per person with a choice of prime rib or shrimp scampi, and the deadline to purchase tickets is Monday, Feb. 19.
Reservation forms for those on our mailing list will be sent out the first week of February. If you are new to the area, have a change of address, have never been on our mailing list, or have questions, contact Don Teusaw at 402-659-2410.
