SunBird Singers Christmas Concert
Ballroom, Wednesday and Thursday, December 5 and 6, 7pm
The SunBird Singers, led by Pat Miller and Kim and Mike Hanson, will present this year’s concerts on December 5 and 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Center Ballroom. The concert title is “Everywhere Christmas Tonight.” There will be many pieces of new music performed by the Singers and some numbers from the women’s ensemble as well. And it wouldn’t be Christmas without music from the bell ringers. A confidential informant hints there will be some other surprises for your enjoyment. As is our custom, there is no admission charge to attend either performance. Your generous donations, which are most appreciated, allow us to purchase new music each year. Please join us on either December 5 or 6!

If you are someone who would like to meet others from the community or just have a fun time playing Bingo, you might want to check in to the Chandler SunBird Lions Club Bingo Nights on the first and third Fridays of each month. Bingo nights are played in the ballroom at the SunBird clubhouse. Cards start being sold at 6:00 p.m. promptly, and the games begin at 6:30 p.m. You can come early to secure your seats. Come join us in the fun. The money raised goes to the SunBird Lions Club for the local charities.
Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade, Tempe Town Lake

Everyone loves a parade, right? But a parade that floats is even better! Join us on December 8 as we watch a procession of festively-decorated boats at the 19th annual Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade. While there, enjoy some holiday shopping, grab a bite to eat, enjoy refreshments while listening to live music and maybe even get your picture taken with Santa! The bus will depart Tempe Town Lake at approx. 9:00 p.m. Please note, there will be no seating available at the festival. You are welcome to bring your own chair.
3rd annual Celebration of Light Competition & Golf Cart Parade
Time to get your lights on! This year, we’ll be doing two light competitions; one for the houses and one for the villas. All houses and villas must be registered by Thursday, November 29. Then, the voting will take place on the patio at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9. The golf cart parade will kick off on the same day around 6:00 p.m.

Chinese Auction – HOA Fundraiser
Ballroom, Saturday, January 19, 2019, 6:00 p.m.
For those of you who have never attended a Chinese Auction… this event is a blast! Please join us on Saturday, January 19, at 7:00 p.m. in the ballroom. Bring your quarters (approx. $10 to $20) and get ready to have some fun! Each attendee will receive one numbered bidding sign. A bucket will be placed at the center of each table, and a gong will be placed on the stage. The items up for auction will be priced at .50, .75 or $1.00. Each person who is interested in bidding on the item will be asked to place the requested amount (.50, .75 or $1.00) into the bucket. The “auctioneer” will then proceed to call out numbers listed on the bidding signs. The last number called when the gong sounds will be the winner! Sound confusing? Well you may just have to see it to believe it, but you’re going to have a great time! We’ll have all kinds of items up for auction. Each attendee is required to bring one new, unused item for auction ($15 minimum) as the entry fee (think holiday re-gifting). All profit from this event will go into the Operation Budget for future projects. Full cash bar. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
