On Dec. 11, Sew-N-Sews will have our annual holiday luncheon party. We will have good food along with entertainment for attendees to enjoy. In addition, there will be lots of socializing and our always-inspirational “Show and Tell.” This is membership renewal time, so please remember to bring your check for $15 to the next meeting. Renewals are due by the end of the year.
We hope you had a chance to stop by the Sew-N-Sews table at the Community Days Open Houses. We had lots of our creativity on display with samples from some of our classes and from our special interest groups. Our charity special interest groups were also represented with samples of pet beds, refurbished dolls, and walker bags.
Over the years, our Sew-N-Sews groups have donated thousands of pet beds (Pads4Paws), thousands of items to brighten the day of homeless and underprivileged children (Dolly Dressers & More), and our most-recently-formed group (Walker Bag Project) making and donating walker bags to veterans’ homes as well as assisted living residences.
Each month, our programs, classes, and “Show and Tell” provide inspiration, learning, and refreshers on skills to stimulate our creativity. We meet on the second Wednesday of each month in the Navajo Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club. Guests are welcome to check us out at two meetings before joining. New membership fee is $25 which includes a name badge that will make you eligible for door prizes at the monthly meetings.
Our December luncheon is $15, and reservations have to be made by Tuesday, Dec. 3, by contacting Judy Waltz at 480-895-3441. If you miss the luncheon, we hope to see you at the January meeting on Jan. 8.
If you have any questions, contact our co-president Cathy Climp at 303-356-9778 or via email at [email protected].
