There is still some confusion as to who qualifies as a “Guest,” as opposed to an “Associate Member,” who must pay for an Associate Member account.
A “Guest” is any person[s] staying with you for a period of 30 days or less in a given calendar year. Guests may use the facilities unaccompanied by a homeowner if the proper SunBird Guest Card is carried. Local guests, anyone residing within a 20-mile radius of SunBird, may use the facilities only if accompanied by the homeowner or authorized SunBird renter. Local Guests are not permitted to use the Fitness Room.
An Associate Member of SunBird is any person 19 years of age or older who resides at a SunBird residence as a third person and/or property owner where more than two names appear on the deed; or be a guest of a homeowner visiting longer than 30 days. The Associate Membership must be purchased from the HOA at one-half of the cost of the annual HOA fee, on a quarterly billing cycle. An Associate Member ID will be issued with an expiration date and will give the Associate Member the privileges of using any of the SunBird Facilities.
The entire Rules and Regulations booklet is available online at www.sunbirdhoa.com or may be picked up at the HOA Office in the Clubhouse.
