It’s that time of year again. Time to enjoy the holidays. Christmas and New Years are just around the corner. So are many people who would like to get your account number and share your holiday money. Be careful of your wallet and purses when shopping. If you’re paying with a credit card, have it out and in your hand before you approach the cashier, especially if you have a number of cards. The more cards you have, the better target you are. It’s just like cash. The more you flash, the bigger the haul for those who would take advantage of you. If you’re using the Internet, be sure with whom you’re sharing your account number. If dealing with the government on the Internet, remember they are not going to e-mail you asking for account information. If you have questions or concerns, contact someone you trust and have them help you with your transaction. Be especially careful with the money you are going to use to buy your favorite patrol officer a present.
A reminder: Every year, as of last year, those of you who park overnight on the street must apply for a renewal of your parking variance. If you park on the street between the hours of midnight and 6:00 a.m. you must display the permit as required. You will see me more often running radar with the cooler weather and heavier traffic in our subdivision. While on the subject of traffic, remember those red signs you see at some intersections. They mean stop. The traffic, both vehicle and pedestrian, are counting on you to follow the rules of the road. When driving, keep in mind our motto – we’ve got no place to go and plenty of time to get there. I hope you forgive me for not complaining about actions of our community, but I don’t have any complaints. Yeah!
