As I write this article, it’s the first week in July and we just finished celebrating the 4th of July. Hope everyone had a great day celebrating our country’s independence. We celebrated at SunBird with our annual 4th of July Golf Tournament. It was a very good tournament. The number participating (56) was down from previous years; however, all had a great time of golf, fun, prizes and a nice lunch in the Horizon Room.
The tournament number is an indication of what is happening with golf for us.
The number playing this summer is down, so this is an opportunity for everyone who is here in the area to get a good tee time on our course. We often hear during our busy season that I can never get on your golf course, so now is your chance to get on. We do have times available each day, and we are also offering some super special summer prices. We have shotgun starts (7:00 a.m.) on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. We have tee time starts (7:00 a.m.) on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

Hours for the Pro Shop for the month of August will be 6:15 a.m. to noon.
If you would like to play in the afternoon, please call us in the morning and we will make arrangements for you to play.
Our next tournament will be the Labor Day Tournament to be held on Monday, September 3. Sign-up for the tournament will be during the month of August. Check with the Pro Shop for details on the tournament.
