Hot, hot, hot! That’s what we keep facing as we enter the month of July.
It seems that the extreme heat came earlier this year, and it sure has affected the golf play here at SunBird. I guess we forget sometimes that we live in the desert.
For the months of July and August, we will continue our schedule in the Pro-Shop, which opens at 6:15 a.m. and closes at noon. If golfers wish to make arrangements to play in the afternoon, they should contact us in the morning and we will arrange for them to play.
With our summer schedule comes discounted prices to play golf. Check with the Pro-Shop to get your best deal. You may also check on our website, www.sunbirdgolf.com, Golf Now, Golf 18 and Teeoff.com.
Our next tournament is the 4th of July. For details about the tournament, call the Pro-Shop.
With our weekly schedules, we will have shotgun starts at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Tee time starts will be at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
As mentioned earlier in this article, in the summer months, the golf schedule is extremely slow. This is a great time for those of you who have problems getting on the golf course during our very busy season to play in our prime times.
