New Year, a New Semester, and New Leadership!

We are starting 2024 with a new class schedule, and we have a number of exciting presentations. Back by popular demand is a class offered by Nancy Kirk entitled How a Humble Quilt Transcends into Artistic Expression. Come see her beautiful artwork and watch her presentation on how the art of quilting has been transformed over the years.

Several cultural classes will be offered both in person and via Zoom. Take a class about Chinese New Year or learn about Sierra Leone. Want to know more about some of the Unsung Women Heroes from World War II? Sign up for Gene Lariviere’s classes. Bill Haskell will be offering two classes about deep water drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Multiple classes are being offered about health and wellness.

In January there was a change in New Adventures in Learning (NAIL) leadership. Kyle Messner is now the president of the Council, Virginia Allen is the new president-elect, and Bill Haskell is returning as treasurer. We are looking forward to an exciting year and hope a number of people join us as volunteers to help continue to grow this evolving vibrant and exciting learning community.

Membership is only $60 a year, and registration is $20 a semester for all of the classes you would like to take. To join us or to volunteer, email newadventures.info and request a New Adventures student application form or call 480-857-550 and talk to Vincenza or Bethany.
