It’s a Home Run at Women’s Connection

It’s Guest Day, male or female, at the Women’s Connection at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Oakwood clubhouse ballroom, 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd., in Sun Lakes. A continental breakfast will be served, and gluten-free is available upon request. The cost is $20, including tax and tip, payable at the door.

Tom Drake from Mesa, will share his ministry for professional baseball umpires for over a dozen years in his talk entitled, “It’s a Home Run.”

Alfonso Marquez, our special feature, is a 20+-year umpire, crew chief, and World Series umpire. He is the first Mexican-born umpire in Major League Baseball history and has been installed in the Mexican Hall of Fame.

Steve Foss, the new pastor of First Baptist Church of Sun Lakes, will be our soloist. Pastor Foss has degrees in both music and theology. Pre-program music will be with the new Sun Lakes music group, the Sun Lakes Instrumental Ensemble. This music organization will be directed by Gene Cline.
