Emily Hardy, Secretary, Ladies Niners
Our Ladies Niners golf group has a reputation for having a good time playing the sport of golf. Members describe others as fun and friendly people to play with. They are regarded as a golf family.
Each week we meet in the Horizon Room for refreshments afterwards. This is our golf social connection. A joke or two, fun, and laughter usually follow the game. Sometimes the score is discussed.
Our monthly luncheon impresses on us how accommodating Julie and the staff are. We always look forward to the opportunity to enjoy a special meal at the Horizon Room.
If you are a new community person and wish to play golf, the Ladies Niners provide the opportunity to learn new golf skills. A new member is shadowed for three games with a buddy. The buddy explains all the concepts relating to the Ladies Niners. Joining a new club can be intimidating, so playing with a buddy makes a transition much easier.
Our handicap committee keeps track of the individual, so as members, we are flighted. Our golf games do follow AGA rules.
