The first Kare Bear Fair will take place in the ballroom on Nov. 4 from 8 a.m. until noon. Not only will there be some 40 vendors sharing their wares, but we have new household items at the White Elephant tables. We’ll also be selling hot coffee and donuts, so it will be a great time to catch up with all your neighbors. It’s been a long, hot summer here in Chandler, and I’m sure we all have great stories to share.
The board will meet on Nov. 9 in the Lakeview Room at 10 a.m., to plan and discuss all the events for the coming year. If you have some suggestions for fundraisers or events that might help our organization, please bring them.
Our first membership meeting is scheduled for Nov. 15 in the ballroom at 1 p.m. Come and visit with our current members and maybe invite someone to join. Kare Bears is a wonderful organization that offers help and service to our SunBird community. We can always use more helping hands. We will also be collecting donations for St. Vincent de Paul charity at that first meeting.
At the end of the month on Wednesday, Nov. 29, Kare Bears will have a booth at the Community Days event in the SunBird ballroom. We will continue to recruit new members at this event and, of course, have door prizes. Come and be an active member of Kare Bears. It’s going to be a great year!
