Mary Pilon, Publicity
A suspicious individual was photographed while combing through our trash bin at January’s meeting! There were a few raffle tickets unclaimed and discarded in error. These tickets were recovered by this male, and yours truly has no knowledge of where the cash prizes went. The male resembles our esteemed President Val, except for the short haircut.
Because of this unsettling occurrence, the meeting agenda was brief.
1.) President Val opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag.
2.) The new secretary, Sue, was introduced. Minutes from December were approved.
3.) Reports from committee chairmen were given. The Laughlin trip was discussed. We are opening reservations for the German and Italian Club members.
4.) Volunteers are needed for the annual parade and Corned Beef Dinner.
5.) There were four winners of the $25 raffle: Ruchie, Lee, Stan, and Stevie. Pat won the Dollar Game. There was one lottery scratcher ticket winner. Jack won $50. Miscellaneous prizes were won by Joan, Melissa, Leslie, and Ann.
Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, at 5 p.m. in the ballroom.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Presidents’ Day, and Groundhog Day, everyone.
