We are still anxiously waiting for the time to come when we can start introducing activities and events back to SunBird! SunBird has been closely following the recommendations from the CDC and state and local authorities in regard to large gatherings. Per Governor Ducey’s Executive Order, we are still not permitted to host any events with more than 50 participants; as of today (Aug. 10). This has not changed since our last publication. I know last month I had listed some upcoming TAD shows; however, if the Executive Order does not change, unfortunately, we will be unable to host these events. We will keep you updated on all activities and events via the SunBird News, our website at www.sunbirdhoa.com, and the SunBird eblasts. Until then, be safe, stay healthy, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
Patriot Day Tribute and Flag Ceremony
Friday, Sept. 11, Clubhouse Flag Pole, 9:11 a.m.
Join us on Friday, Sept. 11, for a short flag ceremony to help us honor and remember those who lost their lives on 9-11, honor those who protect us in our own community each and every day, and recognize any active or retired emergency responders of SunBird. An All-American Pancake Breakfast will be available for purchase in the Horizon Room following the ceremony for only $6! Breakfast includes a short stack of blueberry pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream and choice of non-alcoholic beverage. Tickets for the breakfast are currently available in the Horizon Room!

We will be practicing social distancing! We will not have chairs available; however, you may bring your own chair (social-distantly placed) or feel free to watch from the comfort of your golf cart or your vehicle and observe the ceremony from the parking lot. We hope to see you there!
SunBird Flu Shot Clinic
Monday, Sept. 21, and Monday, Oct. 12, Apache Room, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Walgreens Pharmacy will once again be administering flu shots at SunBird. All shots will be given by appointment only, no walk-ins. To schedule an appointment, please notify the HOA office at 480-802-4901 or [email protected].

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual SunBird Community Day (as you know it) unfortunately will not be taking place this November in the ballroom. However, we are diligently working on a new format so that we can still have our Community Day! Stay tuned for details!
