In the spirit of promoting health and safety, the Garden Club has decided to postpone its annual Home and Garden Tour until March 13, 2022. While we delight in hosting this very popular annual event every year, we believe it is best to skip this year due to COVID, and look forward to 2022 when we hope COVID will no longer be a limiting factor.
In the meantime, we remain active “behind the scenes,” donating our time, energy, and resources, to maintain and improve new and existing gardens in our community. Specifically, watch the space just outside the clubhouse along SunBird Blvd. The Garden Club has taken over the final phase of beautifying this area, with benches and landscaping donated in memory of our dear member Donna Bergmann. We hope to create a peaceful, restful oasis where residents and their guests may enjoy one of the most beautiful views in SunBird, overlooking hole 9 on the golf course. This is one of the best locations to witness our gorgeous Arizona sunsets.
If you would like to donate to the SunBird Garden Club, please write a check to SunBird Garden Club and leave it at the clubhouse office, or mail to 6641 S. Championship Drive, Chandler, AZ 85249. Or contact any Garden Club member, and we will make arrangements with you. We lovingly tend to the gardens throughout the year, and we always appreciate the generous financial donations of our residents to aid in our efforts, especially this year, since we won’t be able to sponsor our Home Tour, our biggest fundraiser.
