Connecting to the Internet Within the Home

The Computer Booters meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 11, will feature a program about connecting to the Internet. New president Jeff Ingersoll will discuss the following topics:

Connectivity of the Internet Within the Home: Wired vs. Wireless

What Technologies ISP Providers Offer to Connect to the Internet: DSL, Broadband, and Wireless

What Data Rate Is Needed for Various Levels of Internet Use

Social time begins at 12:30 p.m., with the meeting beginning at 1 p.m. The meeting will be in the Cottonwood Computer Learning Center Building. Members and first-time guests will be eligible for door prizes. The meeting will also be available via Zoom.

The workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 18, will have a Question and Answer format and some one-on-one help if needed. The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Computer Learning Center’s Phoenix Room. People may come a half hour before the start of the meeting if they want to meet and get to know fellow club members.
