The Chandler SunBird Lions Club held a food drive on April 8, 2017. The drive was held in front of the Albertson’s store at Riggs and Gilbert Road. Within three hours’ time, volunteers were able to raise $360 cash (which was converted to gift cards) and a SUV full of nonperishable food goods. All gift cards and groceries will be donated to Chandler Christian Community Center located in downtown Chandler. Founded in 1966, CCCC serves over 17,000 individuals with five programs largely designed to move people from crisis to stability.
The Chandler SunBird Lions Club will hold their last Bingo night on April 21, 2017. Bingo nights are held the first and third Friday of each month November through April. Bingo nights help the club to continue their many community service projects. We thank all those who have participated in the past and will in the future.
