Celebrate Holidays with Crystal Cards

Thanksgiving cards can remind friends and family that you’re thinking of them.

Crystal Cards will be on sale in November at two Sun Lakes locations.

• Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the Cottonwood Women’s Coffee beginning at 10:30 a.m. in Cottonwood’s San Tan Ballroom

• Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Bradford Room in the Oakwood clubhouse

In addition to Thanksgiving cards, we will have a wonderful assortment of Christmas, birthday, anniversary, get well, and other humorous and serious cards for all occasions. Stop by to find just the right cards for family and friends.

This year, The Crystal Card Project will once again be collecting Christmas gifts and gift cards for the families living at My Sister’s Place, a shelter for victims of domestic violence. This is a difficult time of year for these families, especially the children. We will be contacting our volunteers later this month with details about gift ideas and how to participate. Anyone else wishing to contribute can email us [email protected] for more information.

We are continuing our home delivery for those who find it easier to choose cards at home. Home delivery works like this:

1. You send an email to [email protected] that includes:

• Your name

• Your home address (Please note you are in SunBird)

• Your phone number

• The basic kinds of cards you want

2. A volunteer will arrange to deliver an assortment for you to choose from. You look through the card assortment at your convenience and pick the ones you want.

3. You place payment for the cards you have chosen in the box along with the cards to be returned (cards are $1 each). Call the volunteer to arrange for pickup. The phone number will be in the box with the cards when they arrive.

The money raised by card sales is donated to My Sister’s Place, a Chandler shelter for victims of domestic violence. You can learn more about the project and My Sister’s Place at www.thecrystalcardproject.org.
