Mark your calendars for the next Annual SunBird Art Club Art and Fine Crafts Show! The show will take place March 27, 2027, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ballroom at the SunBird Clubhouse. The show features SunBird artists, as well as a variety of local artists. Prospective artists can request an application to be juried for the show at sunbirdartclub1@gmail.com. Previous shows have featured painters, sculptors, multimedia artists, gourd artists, photographers, digital artists, potters, and jewelry artists.
SunBird Art Club meets every Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Hopi Room at the SunBird Clubhouse. Activities include workshops, classes, and Open Studio activities. All mediums are welcome. Come join us for an atmosphere of creativity, energy and inspiration every week.
SunBird Art Club lost a long time and much loved member recently. Doreen Hill, a UK resident, spent several weeks every Spring and Fall in SunBird for many years, and was a dedicated Art Club member. She never missed an Art Club meeting, and painted beautiful watercolor paintings over the years. Her granddaughter Catherine also comes with her family twice a year, and is carrying on Doreen’s artistic tradition. Doreen was a bright light in our world, and will be missed.
