The Horizon Room catered a great lunch for us in December, and our own Espy created beautiful centerpieces for the tables, which were given away. Pat Curry won the special basket, which was donated by Donna Moran just for the occasion.
Our special fundraiser is launching. We will be selling tickets for a chance to win $500! Tickets will be on sale outside the Puzzle Room starting Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. Drawings for two $500 cash prizes will be on March 19. Look for posters with information and also dates and times of ticket sales. All proceeds from ticket sales are given to our various charitable organizations at the end of the season, so please support the Kare Bears!
We are proud to announce that two wonderful ladies have stepped forward to be our Celebration of Life Committee. June Preder (chair) and Mary Haase (co-chair) will be heading up this beloved arm of the Kare Bears. Family members can contact the HOA office if interested in a Celebration of Life here at Sunbird, and the Kare Bears will be more than happy to assist.
Come join the Kare Bears. We are 68 ladies strong and would love to include you, too! We meet on the third Wednesday of the month in the ballroom at 1 p.m. Our next meeting is Feb. 18.
