At our November meeting, Treva won the 50/50 raffle of $22, and LaVonne Bland won the $10 name tag raffle.

We had our annual Christmas Party on Dec. 13 in the Lakeview Room. We were served chicken schnitzel with mashed potatoes and gravy with a veggie. A sheet cake was brought in for dessert.

We look forward to our Fasching Party coming up in January. Fasching is the German equivalent of Mardi Gras. This marks the beginning of Lent leading up to Easter. Lent marks the period of time that Jesus went out into the desert and fasted before he entered Jerusalem for the Passover celebration. So, get your beads and masks ready for our potluck Fasching Party.
