October is always a favorite month in SunBird. The weather returns to that perfect temperature as a new season in SunBird brings returning friends, the excitement of welcoming new friends, and for the Art Club, a renewed anticipation of upcoming events and the enjoyment of creating art.
If you are new to SunBird or have always wanted to try creating art, we welcome you to join us. We meet on Fridays in the Hopi Room, upstairs, starting at 9 a.m., and we have the room for the full day. This expanded time allows us the ability to work on projects and be able to have the ability to better accomplish individual works, as well as group projects. This also allows the opportunity to hopefully bring in artists from around the Valley to teach us new techniques while expanding our range of skills as we grow in our love of art.
Whether you are new to SunBird or have been here for years, we welcome all who are interested in the joy of creating art. We also have a pretty good selection of books, paints, brushes, etc., to get you started as you see if this is something you would like to experience.
