Welcome back to our snowbirds! SunBird is alive with activity, and that includes the Art Club! We have heard from many the question, “Do you give art lessons?” As we are an art club, we have not opened up to offering lessons to non-members, but your voices have been heard!
John Price is offering a series of four free lessons on drawing skills! These lessons will be held in the Hopi Room on Nov. 10 and 17 and Dec. 1 and 8 from 10 a.m. to noon. Students are asked to bring their own supplies consisting of a sketchbook (9×10 300 Series), pencils (recommended 2H, HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B), and a kneaded eraser. You can contact John at 480-215-6426 or [email protected] to reserve your spot and get any questions you may have answered. What a great opportunity to learn from such an accomplished artist! And, of course, we invite our SunBird residents who love creating art to join us on Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon in the Hopi Room.
In addition, another of our members, Art Norby, will be giving two free one-hour workshops for anyone interested in writing their memoirs or autobiography. These sessions will be held in the Hopi Room on Nov. 10 and 17 at 1 p.m. and are limited to 25 people. For more information on these workshops, you can contact Art Norby at 406-381-5337 or email him at [email protected]. You can also sign up in the HOA office.
What a great start to another wonderful season in SunBird! As always, this time of year brings the excitement of reuniting with great friends and, of course, the joy of making new friendships with residents who have found this awesome community. Let the good times roll!
