SunBird Lions Bingo is back for another exciting season. As usual, our season runs from November through April on the first and third Friday. Ticket sales begin at 5:30 p.m., and the first game begins at 6:30 p.m. There are 15 games nightly. We hope you will join us!

Chronic Pain Management, Coordinated by Village Medical

If you’ve been living with chronic pain, you know the struggle. You might hurt, throb, or sting in one place or all over. You might feel soreness in your muscles or an ache deep in your bones. The worst part? It can be hard to describe to your doctor, because it just hurts, and it has for a long time. Give Life to Your Life – A Memoir-able Experience

Join us in the Hopi Room as SunBird artist and author Arthur Norby shares insights for passing your life’s important moments to your family and friends. Writing your memoir or autobiography needn’t be intimidating and may be the best gift you can give to your family. These two one-hour sessions will provide you with insights and tools meant to help you recreate the interesting stories that make up your life or the life of someone dear to you. No writing experience is necessary. You just need a desire to be remembered. Arthur will share ideas about including photographs and important documents in your story. There will be ample time for questions and answers. The sessions are free, but space is limited to 25 participants. Please register at the HOA office by Thursday, Nov. 9.

Friday Fun Bingo

Friday, Nov. 10 and 24, Ballroom, 7 p.m.

Join us for this awesome activity! This is not your everyday Bingo! Bring your friends, come socialize, enjoy great music, and have fun! We’ll be playing five games, only $1 per game! You can play all five games or just one, play one card or as many as you’d like, the choice is yours! Friday Fun Bingo is for SunBird members and authorized guests only. Please be sure to bring your SunBird ID for entry. If you do not have an ID, please stop by the HOA office to get one. Due to the popularity of this fun event and in order to accommodate SunBird members, the number of guests SunBird members may bring is limited to two guests per household. SunBird members, along with their guests, must all be together when entering the ballroom. Additionally, the SunBird Maintenance Team has set up the ballroom for this event. Please do not take it upon yourself to set up any additional tables and chairs. Have fun, and good luck!

Join us on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. for a short ceremony to honor and thank our SunBird veterans for their sacrifice and service.

Art & Sip

Saturday, Nov. 11, Horizon Room, 3 p.m.

Join us in the Horizon Room as local artist Kaui Wilson helps to create a masterful painting on canvas while sipping, laughing, and socializing. She will provide step-by-step instruction to those who need very specific direction and take you through your masterpiece from start to finish in a series of small and simple (but very detailed) steps. This will be a fun and entertaining art class. No experience is necessary! All art supplies and instruction are provided, and we’ll include one glass of wine! (Food and additional beverages are not included). Tickets are $38 per person and are available at the HOA office. Please register at the HOA office by Friday, Nov. 10. We will be painting the picture shown here.

Fame Trivia, Hosted by “The Fish” Jeff Aaron

A night with Fame Trivia is an exciting evening full of fun questions, music, and audience participation, creating a competitive, fun-filled environment making you want to come back and play again! Free to play, new quiz each week! Music, movies, sports, pop culture, general knowledge, picture page, and so much more! Gather your friends (especially the smart ones) and come out for a fun night of Fame Trivia! No more than eight people per team and no pre-registration is required. All brains are welcome. Wine & Beer Tasting Event, Sponsored by SunBird Golf Course

Be part of SunBird’s Third Annual Wine & Beer Tasting Event! SunBird’s CommUNITY Wine & Beer Tasting will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the SunBird ballroom. Taste five different types of wine or local Arizona beers. Enjoy hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, desserts, silent auction, music, 50/50 raffles, lots of fun, and much more! Every attendee will receive a 2023 commemorative SunBird glass to drink from and take home. Tickets are $45 if purchased by Oct. 31 and $50 from Nov. 1 through the day of the event. SunBird’s Fall Flannel Fest and Outdoor Concert

Be sure to be part of SunBird’s annual Fall Flannel Fest and Outdoor Concert to be held on Saturday, Nov. 18. This free community event will feature live music by Renaissance recording artist Dina Preston Band, beer gardens, food trucks, free ax throwing, 50/50 raffles, and a whole lot of plaid! This will surely be an event that you don’t want to miss. You’ll be plaid you came! Be sure to get your wristbands prior to the event.
