Are you new to the area and interested in joining a talented group of creative people? Then come join us at our November meeting and see what we are all about. The next monthly meeting of Sew-N-Sews will be on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. in the Navajo Room of Sun Lakes Country Club, located at 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd. in Sun Lakes.
Our speaker for November is Lindee Goodall, an award-winning digitizer with 24 years of experience in machine embroidery. In 1993, Lindee upgraded her 23-year-old mechanical machine to a new, programmable one, and her life took a sharp turn into the world of embroidery. Lindee’s first company was Cactus Punch, the first independent company to create machine embroidery designs for the home market. She is an author, designer, and Craftsy instructor, and in 2008 she formed a new company: Lindee G Embroidery. We will have a fun class with Lindee in the morning before the meeting. She will be sharing techniques for coloring an embroidery that will be provided in the class.
Guests are welcome to attend two monthly meetings before joining. New members may join for $25, which includes a Sew-N-Sews name badge and pays your dues through 2020. Membership renewals for the 2020 calendar year are due by Dec. 31. Please bring a check for $15 to renew your membership.
Come join us a little before 1 p.m. to adopt a treasure from the stash table, look at the classes that will be offered, and greet our wonderful members.
