It’s almost time for the 25th Annual SunBird Rummage Sale!
As usual, I cannot do the sale without your help. If you are willing and able to help, I would be most grateful. The dates for this year’s event are Friday, Feb. 24, to mark the items as they arrive (from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and then the Rummage Sale on Saturday, Feb. 25. Please join me at the clubhouse at 6:45 a.m. via the ramp.
Coffee and donuts will be available both days for all those helping with the event.
Please do not mark any items for less than 25 cents, as it would slow things down at checkout. (Note: On Friday, we will sell framed pictures, lamps, golf equipment, and other large items outside. Also, all Christmas items may be purchased at half price on both Friday and Saturday.)
On Saturday, we will open the doors to the ballroom at 7 a.m. Please call me at 480-895-6014 and leave me a message if you can or cannot help (either way), and let me know which days you will be available. Thank you so very much for caring about our SunBird community.
Last year, we took in a total of $2,583.50, which brought our grand total over the 24 years to $60,079.21. Thanks for your part in making this happen!
I have communicated with Layne Varney that, at 90 years of age, this will be my last year for the Rummage Sale. It has been a great 25 years, but time to pass the torch on to others who may wish to provide leadership for this great event. I sincerely hope I can serve with you one last time.
