Karen Covell is the co-founder and producer at JC Productions and an active member of the Producers Guild of America and mentors younger producers in Hollywood. She produces TV movies, specials, and documentaries and is currently packaging a feature film based on the true story of Charley Parkhurst. Karen speaks internationally and is a published author of two books. She and her husband Jim, a film and TV composer, have two sons, Christopher and Cameron, both filmmakers in LA. Karen is a charismatic and engaging speaker who will talk on “Living Real Life in Hollywood.”
A 1992 Miss Arizona, Robin Rost, will provide the special music. She is an accomplished vocalist, pianist, and music educator and choral director. Robin has performed in several leading roles in community theater productions and performed as soloist for over 500 shows with Andre Kole World of Illusion in the U.S. and abroad. She also teaches voice, violin, and piano in her home studio.
We will also feature Gwen Grace who is on the board of the Desert River Audubon Society and director of their field trips. We will learn about the many diverse birds that live in Arizona (over 530 species) and the birdhouses they like.
