SunBird American/Italian Club – fun facts about Italy

Frank Nechvatal

The last meeting of the club was held on April 13 on the patio. The party was to celebrate the close of the 2016-2017 season. It was a potluck event with members bringing food and beverage to share with the other members. It was a private party, and it was posted that the food came from non-certified kitchens as required by the Health Dept. Plans for the next season of meetings were discussed. Chris again announced the Summer Ladies Luncheon Series. In the March meeting, a list was created of interested ladies. If you missed out, please submit your name to Chris Nechvatal in order to be called about when and where each luncheon will be held.

Special Announcement: beginning in October of 2017, the meetings will be moving to the Lakeview Room on the first Tuesday of the Month at 7:00 p.m. The Lakeview Room now has a ceiling-mounted projector and will afford us the opportunity to show video presentations such as the PBS series on Italian immigrants, as well as travelogues. So please make note of this change on your calendars.

Have a great summer, all of you paisanos!
