Footnotes from the Library

Nancy Smith

If you are “sheltering in place” and looking for some new reading material, the SunBird Library has some good suggestions:

Raeanne Thayne—A winner of the RITA award from the Romance Writers of America and the Career Achievement Award (found in Fiction under T)

Jodi Thomas—Texas resident with a strong family heritage to weave into her powerful stories (found in Fiction under T)

C. J. Box—Winner of six awards, including best novel in 2009, his stories center around Joe Pickett, a Wyoming game warden. His novels have strong characters and fast-moving plots (found in Mystery under B).

Arthur H. Norby—One of our own SunBird residents, Art is both an author and a sculptor (with many monuments and sculptures to his credit). Norby was influenced by stories his family told him. It is a historically-based novel. (The Deadly Winter can be found in Fiction under N.)

If you have questions or are looking for a specific author or book, you can get help from a volunteer any Friday morning when our great volunteers work from 8 to 11 a.m.
