SunBird has an official Water Volleyball club! Our mission is to be inclusive and have fun. In order to play, each person is required to complete a membership form that includes a waiver, emergency contact, rules and regulations, and the SunBird Code of Conduct. All those who play, whether resident or guest, will be required to complete the membership form. The club is set up to be self-regulating, and by completing and signing the membership form, each member agrees to play by the rules.

Welcome to our first board voted in by our membership in early March: Dale Ludwig, vice president; Doug Dieroff, vice president; Deborah Cassidy, secretary; Tim Aschleman, treasurer; and Dirk Close, president. The board is made up of three full-time residents and two part-time residents and is responsible for governance and administration of the Water Volleyball Club.

Waivers are available in the equipment trunk and can be completed the day of play.

If you are interested in Water Volleyball, we play seven days a week from noon to 1:30 p.m. We are now playing with official water volleyballs which has reduced hand injuries and makes it easier for all people to play. Come join us!
